Launching a Prompt to ChatGPT or Claude
Send your saved prompts directly to AI platforms like ChatGPT or Claude with a single click.
What Does “Launch” Mean?
Launching a prompt opens it in your selected AI platform, either via:
- Quicklaunch button (no API key required)
- In-app generation (requires a connected API key)
It’s the fastest way to test, tweak, or use your prompt without copy-pasting.
Option 1: Launch via Quicklaunch (No API Key Needed)
- Open your Prompt Library
- Hover over a prompt card and click the Launch icon (→)
- It will open your chosen platform (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) in a new tab with the prompt ready to paste
You stay in control — nothing is sent automatically until you approve it in the platform.
Option 2: Generate In-App (API Key Required)
To launch and generate responses directly in Promptular:
- Make sure your API key is connected (Settings > API Keys)
- Open a saved prompt or use a template
- Click Generate to run the prompt in-app
This is ideal for workflows where you want to view or refine results before opening an external platform.
Tip: Assign Platforms to Prompts
When saving a new prompt, assign an AI platform to keep your quicklaunch buttons organized. You can customize these in the Elite plan for any tool you use.
Using the Prompt Enhancer
Make your saved prompts stronger, clearer, or more engaging with a single click using the built-in Prompt Enhancer.
What Is the Prompt Enhancer?
The Prompt Enhancer is a built-in tool that rewrites your saved prompt in one of three ways:
- Reword – Makes the language more concise or polished
- Expand – Adds helpful context or detail to broaden the prompt
- Change Tone – Adjusts the voice (e.g., casual, professional, playful)
It’s especially useful when refining prompts for different audiences or use cases.
How to Use the Enhancer
- Navigate to your Prompt Library
- Click on a saved prompt to open it
- Locate the ✨ Enhance icon on the toolbar
- Choose one of the enhancement options:
- Reword
- Expand
- Change Tone
- View the suggested rewrite and save if desired
Note: An API key is required to use the Enhancer inside Promptular.
Where the Enhanced Prompt Appears
The updated version appears directly below the original, so you can compare them side by side before saving. You can keep both versions, overwrite, or discard.
Why Use It?
- Quickly upgrade rough drafts
- Adjust prompts for different AI platforms
- Improve clarity and tone without rewriting from scratch
The Prompt Enhancer is a powerful shortcut for getting polished results faster — without needing prompt engineering expertise.
Organizing Your Prompt Library with Tags and Filters
As your prompt library grows, staying organized becomes essential. Promptular helps you manage your prompts using tags, categories, and search filters — so you can always find what you need fast.
Adding Tags and Categories to Prompts
When saving a new prompt or editing an existing one, you can assign:
- Tags – Use keywords like “email,” “sales,” “social media,” etc.
- Categories – Group prompts into broader types like “Marketing,” “Productivity,” or “AI Art”
These labels help you sort and retrieve prompts later using filters.
Using Filters to Find Prompts Quickly
In your dashboard, use the top menu to:
- Search by keyword – Finds matches in the title or content
- Filter by tag or category – Narrows your view to just the prompts you need
- Switch views – Browse all prompts, favorites only, or by prompt type (Text, Image, Video)
This makes it easy to locate a specific prompt, reuse successful ones, or batch similar prompts together.
Pro Tip: Combine Filters for Power Users
You can layer filters — for example, find all “Marketing” prompts tagged with “email” — to narrow down results for high-efficiency workflows.
By tagging and categorizing consistently, you turn your prompt library into a searchable, high-performing database that grows more powerful over time.

Using Prompt Templates to Generate Faster
Prompt Templates are one of the easiest ways to generate high-quality prompts without starting from scratch. Whether you're writing product descriptions, generating SEO content, or crafting art prompts — templates help you move faster and more confidently.
What Are Prompt Templates?
Prompt Templates are pre-built forms with guided fields that generate a ready-to-use prompt based on your input. Each one is backed by a hidden “system prompt” crafted by experts, so you don’t need to be an AI pro to get powerful results.
Templates are available for a range of use cases, including:
- Writing marketing and product copy
- Generating blog post ideas
- Creating art prompts for Midjourney
- Brainstorming business names or taglines
- Writing ad campaigns and more
How to Use a Prompt Template
- Go to the Prompt Templates tab in your dashboard
- Browse or search for a template that fits your needs
- Click Use Now to open the template
- Fill out the form fields (such as product name, audience, features, etc.)
- Click Generate Prompt
The generated prompt will appear in your dashboard, ready to use, copy, or launch.
Note: You’ll need an API key to generate prompts inside the app. Without a key, you can still use the “Copy” or “Launch” buttons to run the prompt elsewhere.
Understanding Template Forms
Each template includes clearly labeled fields to guide what you enter. Example:
Template: SEO Blog Outline Generator
- Field 1: Blog Topic
- Field 2: Target Audience
- Field 3: Desired Tone
Once filled, Promptular automatically merges your inputs with a backend prompt to generate a high-converting, well-structured result.
How Prompt Templates Work Behind the Scenes
Prompt Templates are powered by hidden backend system prompts, meaning:
- Your inputs are combined with tested instructions
- The final prompt is optimized and consistent
- You don’t have to know prompt engineering to use them effectively
- The template logic is protected and not visible or editable
Who Has Access to Templates?
Free Plan:
- 10 starter templates included
- Great for basic content and testing
Elite & Lifetime Plans:
- 100+ templates across multiple categories
- New templates added regularly
- Future access to premium templates and requests
Best Practices for Using Templates
- Don’t overthink your answers — just follow the field labels
- Use the prompt preview to test variations and improve results
- Launch to your preferred platform with one click (or copy manually)
- Save the prompt result if you want to re-use or edit it later
Prompt Templates are the fastest way to create quality prompts, especially for repeat tasks and business workflows.

What Is an API Key?

Is My API Key Secure?
